ANBERNIC RGSP

I questioned if I needed this give I already had the RGXX35SP, but I'm glad I decided to upgrade. It feels exactly the same as the original SP and the 3:2 screen means GBA games scale beautifully on it. I own other more powerful retro handhelds, but this is definitely my favourite way to play GBA games.

I have the 34xxsp and the rg sp. RG SP is night and day better: lighter, better hinge so far, love the color. Thank you anemic on such a great product. :)

As my first retro handheld im really enjoying it I bought for work since they dont allow phone in the facility and i bricked my dsxl (sadge), it can handheld up to certain psp, ps and nds game pretty good. They is some screen tear here and there in some nds game but it doesn't bother me. The battery life lasts me up 6 hours for the games I play. I just wish it was touch screen for some games, that's my only con.

Perfect Gba replica

This device is perfect! Feels great in the hands, good software, good hardware. Well worth the cost!

Anbernic hit gold with this version of the SP, it has the perfect size, good quality and the stock os is good enough for me.
I just switched to two SanDisk microSD cards with 16GB i had laying around for both slots.

I would say this is a 100% perfect score, if there was not a small little detail they did with the leds. The leds in stock condition are too dim and this is because there is a felt-like tape over them and i can´t find a logical reason for this, why they did that.

When you remove the tape (which is easy if you can handle electronics with care) inside of the console, you can see the leds in daylight much better.
If you let it stay on top of them, you can only see the leds indoor or when its darker outside.

Also for some reason they did not include a wriststrap this time, but i can live with it since they are too small for me anyway.

Besides those two things, i can recommend getting one anyway!

This was my first Anbernic purchase, and I’m extremely satisfied with the RGSP. I’m completely new to emulation, so there was definitely a little bit of a learning curve, but once I got everything set up, I’ve been having a great time with it.

The device feels great, looks great, and has honestly made me excited to learn more about emulation and try more games. I’m already considering buying a few as gifts for friends and family.

My biggest recommendation for Anbernic would be MORE COLORS! I would absolutely love to see something like a deep purple, metallic purple, midnight galaxy, or similar colorway for the RGSP.

Overall, this was a great first experience with Anbernic. I’m very happy with my purchase and definitely looking forward to seeing what they release next.

Works great, exactly like an actual SP and the screen scaling is a perfect 3x for gba games. My only complaint is that the buttons are a little loud. I wish they were more similar to the buttons that Trimui uses on their devices.

The RG SP is the best handheld and form factor for GBA. I wish Anbernic offered a metal version of this, similar to the RG Rotate.
